Peven Everett
One of the finest singer songwriter's of his generation, it is no exaggeration to describe Peven Everett's music as timeless. Spanning Rhythm& Blues, Soul, Funk, Rap, and every angle of dance, his work continues to turn dancefloors out across the world. Performing almost all the music on his records he is nothing short of a musical phenomenon, and is recognised as such by the industry. Comparisons to luminaries such as Miles Davis and Stevie Wonder are common... One of the most electrifying artists you could ever wish to see live, ladies & gentlemen... We give you Peven Everett.... Lavonz
Singer, Songwriter, Musician and Producer James started his career in the vibrant London dance scene of the mid-nineties, supplying dancefloor bullets to the capitals top Djs before he was even old enough to go to the clubs his records were being played in. A catalogue of remixes and releases from London's Locked on to NYC's seminal Strictly Rhythm represent this earlier period of his work. Now 26, he has evolved from a remixer into an artist in his own right. Hailing, from a musical family, James was literally brought up in a recording studio and is blessed to be able to call upon the services of first rate musicians such as Guitarists Tony Smith (Roy Ayers Ubiquity) or Loz Netto to the band/recording outfit he fronts: Lavonz. His self produced album, forthcoming on Trippin Records is a formidable body of work spanning R&B, Soul, Blues, Funk, Rock and House. This versatility has led to him attracting attention from producers such as Timmy Regisford, Osunlade, and Quentin Harris who all have dance remixes on the album scheduled for release this year. Dominic Versell
Dj and Label boss Dominic Versell is about as dedicated a head to dance music as you will find. In addition to his Dj schedule and A&R work, Dominic is also formidable song writer: his 2007 hit "Reason For Love" featured on Quentin Harris' album (Japanese release), and numerous compilations as well as the original 12" single released on Trippin featuring the Shelter mixes produced by Trippin production team Versell & Lavonz under the wing of Timmy Regisford. This combination of a talented musician such as Lavonz coupled with the dancefloor trained ears of Versell works magic in the studio and is the combination that is leading to them becoming one of the most requested UK production duos. Keep your ears to the ground for his latest song: "Don't Give up on Love" forthcoming on the label featuring the vocal talent of both Lavonz and new artist Flexie Muiso. Timmy Regisford
A living Legend of House Music, Timmy Regisford is by far our most regular Guest Dj. Unparralelled as a Dj when he is on fire, Timmy is the lifeblood behind New York's legendary Club Shelter. The only DJ to hold down a Saturday night residency for over 16 years now in New York, Timmy's marathon 12 hour roller-coaster sets will have you dancing all night long and for weeks afterwards. Timmy's influence over seminal artists such as the mighty Blaze or more recently Quentin Harris have indirectly brought hundreds of our favourite records to the floor. One of the best soundsystems in the world and the most celebrated undergound dance culture in existence, are testimony to the consistency and dedication of a man we are proud to be associated with. Productions over 3 decades, and an insatiable thirst to break new and unusual records continue to bless dancers all over the world. Quentin Harris
Mr Quentin Harris: One of the the brightest stars in the nighlife sky, a man whose explosion onto the scene over the last few years has revitalised the House world. Quentin's combination of out of the box thinking, extensive dancefloor experience and deep musical training/exposure has blessed us with a producer who just keeps on bringing his golden touch to records again and again. A regular artist on the label and one of our favourite and most frequent guest Djs Quentin is somebody we are proud to have featured on our label - nothing but appreciation and respect. Glenn Underground
Glenn Underground - Dj and Producer extraordinaire, Glenn's magical productions have graced the best dancefloors all over the world for years. His musical flexibility and trademark Jazz keys have set his name in stone as one of the most important contributors to House music of the last 15 years. A man who does not seek the limelight, Glenn is a true soldier of the Undergound who consistently pushes the barriers that imprison other producers in dance music. Ricardo Miranda
One of Chicago's South side's rising talents, Ricardo Miranda is a name to watch out for. Close collaboration with Glenn Underground and solo projects for Litlle Louie Vega's Vega Records imprint have brought his talent to the world. Vic Lavander
Vick Lavender's Live Group Mr Ali is what he is probably best known for: A project trying to bring back the live element to Dance music that caught the attention of Mel Cheren and was subsequentially showcased on New York seminal label West End Records. Tyrone Francis
Tyrone "Mixologist" Francis: A Dj to litteraly rock you all the way around the clock, Tyrone is one of the few Djs who can cover for Timmy at The Shelter. His trade mark high energy but soulful sound is a favourite at established parties such as Dance Culture, Need 2 Soul to name just a few. Abicah Soul
Abicah Soul Project, AKA Dj Staxx, exploded into prominence during 2007 with his acclaimed hit "Love can damage your health" snapped up by Dennis Ferrer for his label Objektivity. A versatile producer who has the critical understanding of the dancfloor, Abicah Soul is now one of the hottest properties on the Undergound. Slammin reworks of tracks on Trippin showcase his versatility and creativity in the studio. Another hot producer out of Chicago's South side. Boo Williams & Demarkus Lewis
Demarkus Lewis and Boo Williams need no Introduction. Each Heavy hitters in their own right, their collaboration to produce Cynthia Griffin's Rejuvanating Season blessed us with one of the best releases to date on the Trippin label. |
